Do you live in, work in, or regularly travel through Kiltarlity, and along the A833?
We want your thoughts on the A833, particularly from Belladrum to the Colvin junction. This stretch of road includes the long stretch that rises to the South, where visibility is partly restricted by the overhanging tree canopy, as it passes various homes and businesses. The road is currently a national speed limit stretch (60mph). On behalf of our client, Solid Luxury at the Kiltarlity Lodges, we are raising a petition to present to Highland Council, which represents your views on a permanent speed restriction to not more than 40mph along this stretch.
You can view and sign the petition in person at the Kiltarlity Lodges office, or, online here.
The petition is closing on 10th December 2023. If you think this stretch of road is dangerous for access, difficult to get around – walking or cycling, and you want to help make a difference, time is running out.
You can request a copy of the proposal submitted to the Highland Council and to the local Community Council by getting in touch with kenny@spink.design.

The access road to Belladrum stables just opposite the castle drive is very dangerous traffic runs way too fast a wreck waiting to happen
We have the same problem on the Foxhole south junction onto the A833, drivers having to reverse back onto the main road to let traffic come out onto the main road. £600k spent on 700 mtrs of cycle track locally when people’s lives are at risk, the Council should be ashamed !
